Project Description

For this set of environment drawings done from observation, I decided to focus on demonstrating one- and two-vanishing-point perspective landscapes, the overlap between vanishing points, and the combination of geometric architectural shapes and organic forms. As a “maximalist” who loves detail, I wanted the images in the series to be intricate and dramatic, similar to the works of Claude Lorrain, John Constable, and Makoto Shinkai. I believe that many artists and designers often make their artworks while guided by their thoughts, ideas, project requirements, experiments, moods, and memories, but this time I wanted for my artworks to perform as musical pieces from a concerto or opera. Each line, stroke, shape, and shadow should present the songs...
