Madama Butterfly
The diorama is influenced by Puccini’s opera “Madama Butterfly,” a tragic story of a young naive geisha who is inexperienced in life and falls in love with an uncaring American naval officer.
Paradisaea & Robots
This series documents my development of a moveable sculpture. I first developed paper maquettes, and then I decided to use found objects to make a sculpture called “Paradisaea” (the genus for “birds of paradise”).
Particles of Messier 42
This lantern is a hybrid of organic (nautilus shells, turtle eggs) and inorganic (polygons, corrugated discs) forms. The object’s complex volume is complicated by an internal light source’s translucent glow, reminiscent of the Orion Nebula.
Black Hole Ctenophora
This object incorporates both organic and geometric forms, and is designed to hang both horizontally and vertically. It represents Ctenophora,marine invertebrates, as well as the elementary particles that burst out of black holes in space.

The Elysian Family
This project traces an evolution of cylindrical forms. Each cylinder contains an inherited trait from its predecessor, demonstrating evidence of an “evolutionary tree.” Together, these five cylinders represent Elysium, a blissful state after death.
Aurras
Aurras is a papers sculpture, manipulated and designed by using three verbs of "weep", "fold", and "attach". Forming this sculpture to looks like a vase and also a phonograph was a fun project.
