This lantern is a hybrid of organic (nautilus shells, turtle eggs) and inorganic (polygons, corrugated discs) forms. The object’s complex volume is complicated by an internal light source’s translucent glow, reminiscent of the Orion Nebula.

Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts presents Bridges, an annual juried exhibition of work by undergraduate students at partner two-year colleges across the country. Invited guests are welcome to attend the opening reception to celebrate these talented emerging artists.

The exhibition runs from September 20th through October 13th.
