“Quisquiliae” 21st century Dadaism:
Art and Design for All Possible Worlds
Sculptural Poster
This "Quisquisliae Nutius" is part of ,“Quisquiliae 21st century Dadaism: Art and Design for All Possible Worlds,” upcycles, redefines, and gives new meaning to discarded objects. Capitalism produces wasteful disposable consumer goods, as well as pollution, natural disasters, and the climate crisis. For this project, we worked with used plastic bags, food packaging, bottles, cardboard, and any other discarded or unwanted materials to create an advocacy poster. We want to explore graphic design principles through these three-dimensional objects, and the best way to do that is by creating textures, patterns, and shapes that could serve as abstract paintings or collages that have both aesthetic value and functionality.
(Quisquiliae means “waste matter” and Nuntius is “message” in Latin)
